ICH KANN DICH NICHT HABEN – ABER GENAU DICH WILL ICH – Zitat: Mein Ego

OUR TIME IS NOW!

OK, Bye… How to say farewell to the ones we can´t have!

This is an article about how to detach from people who never really cared about us. But why is it so hard for us to leave people that don´t seem to have a real interest in us… It´s an illusion! There is this one person that is constantly on your mind… more or less occupying your dreams, your thoughts, your whole life! On the one hand, it is an incredibly great thing to be able to care about another person that much, on the other hand though, it can destroy us!

It is easy to put a gloss on something and just tell yourself how great that person is, but reality is totally different. But the problem is that I just am too naïve sometimes and think the best of everybody!

Even though that person that keeps occupying your mind, does things that hurt you and still we think ‘Oh, I´ll might be able to change him or her… I´ll be able to make him or her see how great I am…’.

How many times did you have those thoughts? I myself, have gone through that stuff with guys I liked so so so many times… and each and every time it was a process of learning and understanding… It´s an okay process, so take your time if you need it – that´s more than okay! ‘Cause there is nothing worse than simply doing something because someone else tells us to. Trust your gut – it´s always right!

I CAN´T HAVE YOU – I WANT YOU SO BAD! – Quote: My Ego

But of course, people that are just not that into you, are more interesting than the ones running after you. This is simply because our ego has a problem with others not really liking us! Throughout the years I learnt to let my feelings happen and sometimes just take time to evaluate why it is so hard for me to say good bye to someone and simply detach! I started question myself why I would give up my own values and moreover my self-esteem because of some guy that doesn´t give a sh*t about me anyways…

The only thing that always kept me going was my passion for my job and self-love – properly taking care of yourself is the key to a happy life and more confidence. The worst thing that can happen is self-pity but hey, that has happened to me before as well… In weak moments like that, go out into nature, do sports or go for a nice coffee with your friends! I remember my friends saying: “Hey, you´re single, you can do anything. Look for someone else – anything´s possible…”. But what can I say, it just took me a while to be ready to meet someone new and to open my heart again!

OUR TIME IS NOW!

I´m pretty sure we´ve all been through these moments in our lives and probably, you´re just going through the same thing right now. If so, I can tell you this: Your time will come! Go out and don´t hide at home ´cause you feel too hurt or your self-esteem is low. For me especially, travelling was the key – it´s a life changer! By travelling you have  a certain and very important distance between those emotions and that person in general. You are constantly occupied with new impressions and feelings and you´ll have the time to see things more clearly from distance.

Just don´t force yourself to suppress your emotions, rather go through the phase of grief and work those feelings through. Our ego and heart need the time to heal and we simply need the time to detach from that illusion of being with that person. On the one hand that can be a very scary experience, as it just costs a lot of energy – you feel sad, tired and just wanna lay in bed for a whole year..

BUT there is light at the end of the tunnel because those tough times in our lives are the ones that let us grow! After phases like this, I always felt different, stronger, more like myself! I was able to transform the fear into self-love and it gave me a deep feeling of freedom! The same thing will happen to you, I´m sure! And the most beautiful thing about transformations like these is that in the end you´ll understand that it had to happen that way and it all happened for a reason!
